Sony NEX 6, 16-50mm Sony lens
ISO 100, f/18, 1/40 sec, Raw
I watched the weather pretty closely yesterday. The clouds were forming descent shapes. I was sure that the sunset is going to be full of great colors. I sat on my bike and cycled to Sportstichting Sittard=Geleen. I’ve been there couple of times in the morning and I took some great pictures, but I knew that it would be much better to come there around sunset. I was a bit lucky yesterday. Few minutes later and the Sun would be gone behind the cloud.
I did my usual ritual of checking the ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance and when I was happy I took 9 different exposures to cover the shadows, midtones and highlights. Since I found about the HDR pro plugin in Photoshop I do the exposures manually. There are other ways like bracketing that let you to take up to 6 images in some of the Nikon models, but I still think that it’s better to set the individual exposure myself…
This was a beautiful sunset that let me to this picture. I hope you like it too, please leave a comment and give it a thumbs up…
