Gelders Eind Road

This place reminded me a scene from a movie Good Will Hunting (97) where at the end hes driving on a highway going to see his girlfriend…I had some sort of flashback when I was crossing this bridge and it popped into my mind so I stopped and took couple of images……Here is what I mean

It was last image sequence I took that day. After that, clouds were closing in quickly and It started raining. Other than that, It was fun editing this image…I hope you like it too, please let me know if you do…

Sunset From Kollenberg

What a golden hour!!! Last hour before the Sun dropped behind the horizon, I was going around many spots trying to capture the best images. I went to many places, from fields to villages around Sittard to Sittard city center. Just before I wanted to call it off, I came to an open field from where the Sun was at it’s best!!! There was a track going to Kollenberg, so I went little higher to see the Sun slowly disappear behind the horizon…It was AMAZING!!!

I really like this shot and so I wanted to share it with you…Hope you like it too…

I took this shot on the way home from a recent mountain bike trip around Sittard, Windraak, Geleen, Born and Nieuwstadt…I could watch sunsets like this anytime…I hope you like it, please let me know if you do…

Sunset in Puth

I was in Puth village. My plan was to cycle to Geleen and back to Sittard, hopefully capturing some nice moments. I took a shortcut through the village and as I’m going on a  gravel road, I saw the Sun shining through a tree. It was quite cool, so I decided to stop and take a shot. Luckily I had tripod with me so I could play with different exposures and create beautiful HDR type of image. I did take 7 images ranging from -3 to +3 to make sure that I have the range covered.

In overall It was an amazing day! and beautiful sunset. I hope you like this image, please if you do let me know…

278/365 Double Path Geleen

Double Path Geleen

Today was AMAZING! No computer, no watch, no electronics, just nature, few friends, slack-lining and a bit of football in Stadspark. Absolutely amazing day! And how better you want to finish the day than with few beers and BBQ on the garden.

But anyway this image is from a recent trip to Geleen. I’ve got some really nice images that day and this is one of them. I hope you like it. It’s interesting to see one road splitting up into two, both going somewhere else creating the illusion of a choice….I really like that! Also the Sun was at the right spot…Beautiful

Vloedgraaf From Millenerweg

Yesterday I went on a mission to capture great sunset and I wanted to have a stream or some sort of water source in the image. Thinking of places where I haven’t been yet, I found this little stream called Vloedgraaf just on Sittard border. I liked the location, the light was perfect and I arrived there at the right time.

From time to time I would switch techniques and the whole workflow just to make things interesting but this time I went straight away for almighty panorama. Perfect to preserve as much of details and capture more than 140 degrees view….

I really like this panorama, I hope you too…Please let me know if you do and give it a thumbs up.

I did edit few of them today and hoping to share it with you as time goes on…

Golden Light At Steenweg

I was walking home after being in town taking pictures and just before I wanted to call it off I walked into Steenweg and decided to follow the street. The more I was coming closer to Stationstraat the better the scene looked. The light was so intense! I stopped there for a while and took few images. I couldn’t be happier seeing them on the back of my LCD screen. Here is one of the sequence…I hope you like it…

Gruizenkerk Sittard

This was so far the biggest challenge to take a shot of Gruizenkerk. There is just not enough space to walk back with the camera…Last two times I went there it didn’t work. I tried few different methods to capture it, but always felt like something wasn’t right. Recently I’ve learned how to take panorama images with multiple levels and thought that this place could be perfect for it. In this shot I used 3 levels to pull it off. Here is a screen shot:

Screen Shot

I have to say that it is time consuming to take an images like this. It goes to hours of editing in Lightroom and Photoshop, but it’s well worth it. I like the result and I’m happy because I have learned few things along the way…

I hope you like it too…

Rosa Toren At Sunset

Just came back from a shoot out…There was a beautiful sunset going on, have you noticed? I have walked through the city center, where I took some images of the center and few buildings around. This image, especially this angle was in my mind since winter and today I went there and it was perfect…The position of the Sun was great!

I hope you like this image…
