Again big thank you all for coming to the exhibition. The kerk was full since we opened until we closed! Excellent day!

Many of you wanted to know how do I bring those images to life. How do I make them so bright and colorful. I edit all my images first in Lightroom and then I bring them to Photoshop where I do the final touches.

I thought I will challenge myself today. I found this very dark image which was more of an experiment that end up badly underexposed and so boring that I almost deleted. But then I thought I will show you what is possible and how I turn such an image into something great. At least in my eyes.

So I recorded my screen while I was editing this image. I speed up the process so that you don’t get bored. It’s just to demonstrate that even a bad image can be turn into something great. I hope you like it…

Sint Rosa Festival

Thank you all for coming today to the exhibition!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!! I have received a lot nice comments from you and it seemed that you had a good time! It was nice to meet you all!

Also I had met beautiful people at the Lion and Mosaic section where you could use your imagination and create anything you like and then stick it onto a lion statue. I had the opportunity earlier in a day and LOVED it to my core! Excellent idea.

Today I wanted to take some images especially after the rain that came by just before dark. I wanted bright, shining and clean image that would show a bit of the Sint Rosa…I love to play with light and today I had a lot of it from all over around me. It was great fun.

Hope you like this image, please if you do, let me know and give it a thumbs up.

…And please come tomorrow to the exhibition. It will be open from 13:00 – 18:00. Hope to see you there.

Trichterweg Kollenberg

Most of the time I take images around the golden hour when the light is soft and the colors look amazing. But what about mid day images when the Sun is strong and it creates harsh shadows? I put on a polarizing filter which brought back some of the colors. The foreground and the sky are more pronounced with the filter. I love it. It definitely helps when one is taking images around mid day. I hope you like it too, please let me know if you do.

DaCapo College Rijksweg Zuid

I was heading home after a successful shootout I did close to Hospital. On the Rijksweg Zuid there were 2 huge spot lights pointed on DaCapo college entrance. I thought there might be something going on so I rushed in, but it was only lights pointing on the building. It was quite nice, so I stopped for few seconds to take some images. I walked around, also to the other side of the street and could not decide what angle to choose. Almost gave up on the idea when on a last try I put the tripod right in the front of the building and took a shot. I liked it straightaway. After few adjustments I was cycling home with amazing feeling…The picture was great…I hope you like it, please let me know if you do.

Carnival Monument

It must have been at least 5 times I’ve been there taking pictures of this carnival Monument. In autumn, spring, now summer and in between. I suppose I was looking for something interesting that would go with it. Once I was coming back from a short walk around town and thought about it. It was about sunset time so I thought I may be lucky and get nice image of the monument. When I came there it couldn’t be better. No people, beautiful sunset. Just perfect, so I took few shots with different exposures and end up with this images…I hope you like it.

Kerkgebouwen Sittard

I was in Stadspark looking for places to shoot as the sunset was approaching. I reminded myself about this cool corner which I wanted to have on a picture already for a long time. I went there immediately and took few images. The light was quite good! I was wishing to come there a little earlier, this way I would have more of the Sun on the church. I think it would look even better. I put Hoya ND filter on to slow down the shutter speed so that I could blur those clouds and add interesting effect to it. In overall I’m very happy with the image…I hope you like it too..Please if you do, let me know…

Sunset At The Stream

I love that single track that goes along the Geleenbeek. I went there today on my bike all the way down to Geleen. I stopped few times to capture the sunset as it was looking beautiful with the stream. I took this shot just before the Sun disappeared behind the horizon. I like it a lot, hope you too…

Bie ‘t Gruuzekirkske

To fit the whole building into one frame, I took 32 images in total. One of the most challenging photo I ever did. There is not much space to walk around so you kind of struggling to choose the right angle. I could take an image from the other side but I didn’t like it too much. At the end I decided that the best would be to just combine all those images and build the final picture in Photoshop. This way I would have the whole building plus the path…From this angle I was less than 3 meters from the building which I thought at first will never work. I went for it and it worked.

I hope you like this image, please if you do let me know…
