Fortuna Stadium

For the last month, I cycled around the stadium at least 10 times and every time the gate was closed…Finally yesterday I was lucky and could go in. I was expecting to see someone but no one there. I walked to the top to have a better view. Panorama was a choice as I wanted to capture most of the stadium. The light was perfect for it and I knew I will walk away with a good sequence of images…

Hope you like this shot…Please if you do, let me know and give it a thumbs up…

292/365 Sittard City

Sittard City

As some of you wanted to see images of Sittard taken in a different time of the day, I wanted to try it too. I went around Sittard slightly before the golden hour, in a hope to capture some cool images. It’s quite easy to take a shot when you have sunset colors and everything in a shot looks perfect, but it is a different story if that is not the case and you have to come up with something interesting yourself to make the memorable shot.

Panorama images are a great way to make from ordinary an extraordinary image. Now, after few panoramas I feel like I’m getting a grip on this technique. It’s king of amazing that before I started this project I didn’t know how to do it. My first panorama ever was the no: 44 and since then I went on a mission to get better at it.

But anyway, I hope you like this panorama, if you do please let me know…

Sunset At Lahrstraat

Since yesterday I decided to watermark Sittard 365 images as it was suggested to me by a close friend. I was never a big fan of watermarking my images, but I came to realize that it’s actually a good idea. From a marketing perspective I have a better chance that can lead to business from those who see and admire my work. Also it’s actually a great way to point people back to my site. I hope it won’t spoil your experience when enjoying the images.

This panorama is from few days back when i cycled around Sittard searching for anything to photograph. I was taking last images of the day from Lahstraat, then the Sun was gone and I went home. Exciting day, because I had almost full card of awesome images waiting to be edited.

I hope you like this panorama, please let me know if you do…

Church In Sittard

Not to often I go to that side of Sittard to be honest. In a whole time I’m here, I was on that side maybe two times. Now with the project, curious if I can find something cool, I found few interesting places for panorama and single shots. One of them was this church. The tales on the roof are really cool. It’s like a mosaic! Really cool…

I hope you like this image…My favorite of the day…

I hope you like this image…Please if you do let me know…

Before The Storm

Another photo I wanted to share with you from the stormy day! Also a good comparison between new and old. I wanted to do a panorama from this spot and capture the whole surroundings already for a long time, but never got something interesting on the sky. Now I have been there at the right time. The storm was closing quickly!!! I have been lucky that the Sun came out for a while too and added an AWESOME light to the scene. I love this shot and how dramatic it is…

I hope you like it too..

Sportstichting Sittard-Geleen At Sunset

This seems like a great place to do some sports! What is the main thing they play here on those fields? By the time I was there, I did not see anyone I could talk to. I guess it is hockey but not sure. Anyway it was a beautiful day to take images. The horizon was covered in a thin layer of clouds which turned into a great sunset. I think with panorama you can see a little more and that was what I was aiming for. I hope you like this image. Please if you do let me know… 🙂

286/365 Sunset At The Farm

Sunset At The Farm

I love sunset images, they look amazing! This was a good one, just few meters from the border. I had in mind to come there and take a picture of the whole farm but then I liked the Sun a lot, so I put together this composition. At that time it worked better than any other angle…I will come back when the Sun is in a different position to shoot more images from that place…I might be also lucky and get some incredible clouds like those from yesterday. Will see! The potential is there.

I hope you like this image…Also thank you for yesterday’s comments…

285/365 Heaven Or Hell

Heaven Or Hell

I’m amazed what nature can throw at us sometimes. This amazing storm that came through Sittard was really something. On one side was raining, on the other the Sun came through the clouds, and behind me were some of the darkest clouds I have ever seen. It was an amazing show. I took over 1000 images today from many locations around Sittard. I’ve got images of rainbow, some crazy looking shots from the city center, stadspark, and many other places…

It was amazing, and I hope you like this shot…

284/365 Chapel In Einighausen

Chapel In Einighausen

Today I was experimenting a bit with my editing workflow. Instead of contrasty background as I would normally bring down the highlights to have definition in clouds, I went for a softer approach. It was very calm evening with not much happening and I thought I would try something else. I thought to bring more light into this sequence of images and so I went for +0.3 exposure…The reason for that was to have clean shadows. Later I soften the sky, blurred the background and increased sharpness on the chapel…

I think it’s a nice picture….I hope you like it too…
