Rijksweg Ziud At Sunset

Recently I was exploring Geleen, actually to be precise I was looking for the city center in Geleen which I had a hard time to find. It felt like I cycled all over the place instead I found what others refer to as old Geleen. Anyway, on the way there I took couple of images of the Rijksweg Zuid. To my surprise it was very peaceful which normally is quite busy road.

The colors are getting very interesting as the autumn is knocking on the door. It’s beautiful!!! I hope you like this shot. Again it’s a combination of 8 images, shot vertically and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Please me know what you think.

Abshoven in Munstergeleen

Here is a fun project shot I took two days ago on the way to Geleen. I’ve got a tip to go and take a picture of a newly re-build complex in Munstergeleen. When I arrived there I could see some other photographers also taking images of the complex so I decided to observe and wait until they are finished. It was interesting to see how other photographers work and what angles do they consider.

While I was waiting there I spotted a little pond few meters away from the complex. I knew that from there its going to be beautiful reflections of the water and so I waited until everyone was gone and then I went there to experiment. To my eye it worked perfectly. I love the reflection of the water! I hope you like it too. Please let me know if you do…

View Over De Basiliek

I’m always excited whenever I get the chance to take images from places that are new and unique to me! I love experimenting with new angles and taking photographs from unusual places makes the the whole experience better!

I was invited to a friends apartment to take some images from his terrace over De Basiliek. I was really excited to make the best of this opportunity. When I saw the place for the first time I didn’t have my camera and it was bad weather anyway, but I kind of imagined a panorama as a option to capture as much of it as possible!

The other day his girlfriend was kind and let me in. It was later in the afternoon, the Sun just came through the clouds and light up the scene. I was standing there taking handheld images, trying different settings and felt great. I hope you like this image too…Please if you do, let me know…

ABC Carpark At Sunset

Thank you everyone for great comments and likes while I was on holiday! After traveling to Czech Republic, enjoying some breath taking scenery in Austria and Slovenia, hiking some trails in Italy and shooting over 200gb of images and 350gb of videos I’m glad to be home! Was looking forward to come back and continue with the project!!!

When I arrived, I went to the ABC car park from where I knew I can take a good image of the area at the sunset. Just one of the place I could think of right away. Nice panorama of the sun and the car park. Hope you like it. Please if you do, let me know…

Sittard In B&W

I was going through some of my images and found this panorama. I turned it into black and white and forgot about it. It’s taken at the sunset but I wasn’t lucky, the weather was against me. Looking at the image, there was almost no color like I took the image in mono chrome. So the choice was to make it black and white and play with the shadows and highlights. I think it looks great. Would love to hear your opinion…

The Dam Of Geleenbeek

Stadspark is probably one of my favorite place to take pictures. With the season changing to Autumn, stadspark has a lot to offer. I remember walking there last year and taking first image for the project. The leaves were turning golden. Amazing time. I went there recently to relax and really liked the Sun shining though the leaves, so I set the camera, chose a good composition and took few shots at different exposures.

It came out really nice. I hope you like it too…

Fitland XL

Have you been already in Fitland XL? How is it? I went to Sauna close to Born which was super amazing! Also I was in Therma 2000 few times, but this one is new to me. Could you share your opinion…Is it worth it?

I took this image in the same day as the church in Bremstraat. Great day. I’ve done a lot of cycling and just had a blast.

I hope you like this image…

336/365 After Storm Part 2

After Storm Part 2

This was a hell of a storm. I was working on a web designing project when a storm went through Sittard. A lot of rain! I didn’t pay attention to it too much, but then after it finished I saw the Sun coming through the clouds. I looked outside and it was beautiful. I loved the contrast between the ground and the sky. I quickly took a shot, hoping for rainbow to appear but it didn’t at the time.

I hope you like this shot, please let me know if you do…

335/365 Ligne Project At Sunset

Ligne Project At Sunset

Another picture from Ligne project in Sittard. This time I wanted to have a shot against the Sun and really capture the colors of sunset. The conditions were spot on! The Sun was about to disappear behind the buildings, so I had to act fast. One of the thing I love is to hold a filter in front of the lens which gives that star look of Sun rays and boosts the colors a bit. You can totally do this effect in Photoshop, but the closets you get to what you after the better…

But anyway, I hope you like it.

City Park Culture Event In Sittard

I was curious what this event was about. I couldn’t find any information about it on the internet. It was on Sunday, I heard music coming from the new city park. I went there to see what it was. Very nice little event, quite few people there. Live music and a lot of art. I sat there on the grass and listen some of the percussion’s playing there. It was great! Just before I left I did this panorama…Hope you like it..
