Sunset At Born Kanaal Close To Sittard

This are the kind of shots I like a lot. You pack for whole day trip, take all your gear and off you go to some peaceful places like this one where you spent most of the day. That day I was in the National park Hoge Kempen in Belgium. Beautiful park. On the way back I went along the kanaal all the way to Born where I took this image. The day was sunny, the sky clear, just perfect for a photo-bike-trip.

Hope you like this image…

St Peters Church Sittard

This is one of the image which was at the exhibition. When we were selecting images, Sittard was the main thing. I had this image on my hdd already since jun, but forgot about it. Then I found it and thought it could be great for the exhibition. I took it in the morning on the way to city center. It was a beautiful day…

Hope you like it…

Sunset In Limbricht

At the beginning of the project I never had much of a desire to go to Limbricht and take some images there, but the more I’m into it the more I like those places there. I mean the castle is incredible. Some of my favorite stops I like to visit when I need to clear my mind and relax.

I went there after the exposition I had in Gruizenkerk to relax a bit. It was beautiful sunset going on. I cycled around the church and decided to take panorama of the graveyard and the sunset. I thought it could be a great image.

Hope you like it. Please if you do, let me know…

330/365 Ophoven Street View

Ophoven Street View Sittard

I took this image in Ophoven (Sittard) after I spotted the Sun in a gab between the houses. Also I like the gate and the plants on the house, so I decided to take a shot. Without the tripod, I turned the camera vertically and took 8 images from left to right. I had this feeling that I didn’t put 100% into it, but when checking those images in the computer It was perfect, so I started to build the composition.

I hope you like it…

Sunset At Kollenberg Sittard

I like riding my mountain bike on the Kollenberg and around Windraak (Sittard). Some great places there. I stopped on the Langvoorweg to take a shot of the sunset. It was looking beautiful and peaceful. I stayed there until the Sun was gone. I felt good!!!

Anyway, I hope you like the image…

328/365 Kerk In Kromstraat

Kerk In Kromstraat Sittard

Enjoy this panorama from the Kerk in Kromstraat Sittard. This was another very challenging picture to make. At first I couldn’t decide what would be the best place to take a shot of this church, but then I walked around again and decided to try it from this side. It would be a great shot from the front if those trees weren’t there but nothing I could do about that. I like this angle too.

I took three rows of images, first the bottom part which was 12 images from one side to the other, then another 12 concentrating on the middle part and then another 12 images of the top part.

Why that many? It could have been done with much less. I did it before and had to spent extra hour using adaptive plugin in Photoshop because there was not enough information to keep those images straight. Long story short, the more images you take the more information you will have to work with when building the composition. if that make sense.

I hope you like it, please let me know if you do.

327/365 The Train Station

Sony NEX 6, Sigma 19mm f/2.8
ISO 100, f/18, 8 sec, Raw

The Train Station Sittard

I was looking through my images looking for a shot of train station in Sittard, but realize that I don’t have many of them. None from the front. So the mission was on. I grabbed my tripod and went there straight away. I don’t do much of long exposure images so I thought this could be great opportunity to practice more. I took few images at different exposures and then combine them together.

I think it came out nice! What do you think? Please let me know…

326/365 Beautiful Light

Beautiful Light Sittard Lake

Once I was on the way to Germany for a bike ride through the forest to clear my thoughts, I stopped at Schwienswei (Sittard) to take some images. You could see from a distance a beam of light coming through the trees. It gave a similar effect like a spot light. I took a shot of it as it was quite interesting. It didn’t take long for the light to fade away as the Sun kept dipping behind the horizon.

I like it a lot. Hope you too.

Walking Path

I took this shot while walking on track behind the Media Groep Limburg BV. I think the path’s name is Op de Geer. I’ve been there few times now. Just a peaceful path that goes along the prison. I went there around the sunset and took this shot. Hope you like it…

View From Hof Van Onthaasting

I really like that park Hof Van Onthaasting. I had a good fun taking pictures there. It’s man made, but I found few compositions that were worth to check it out. I liked this path and the tree with the building, it kind of makes a good composition. I managed to take few images that day which are worth sharing, this one is one of them…Hope you like it…
