Sittard City

For the last photo, I wanted to share with you one areal image of the city that me and my friend Wouter from quadcopter-shop (www.quadcopter-shop.nl) took few weeks ago. It was a one day project where the mission was to capture the city from a unique perspective. We took some exciting images and this is one of them. If you like areal images and would like to get more information about the drones, visit www.quadcopter-shop.nl or https://www.facebook.com/quadcopter.shop

The END…

So here we are at the end of the project! All together I have shared with you 384 images and couple of videos. It has been a fantastic journey and an incredible way to connect with you, make some friends, learn, and share some of my enthusiasm about photography and life. Thank you all for being here the whole time, you have been amazing. Without your participating, it wouldn’t be possible!

Here are few things that the project gave me:

1) It gave me the opportunity to get noticed by some of the companies like BrandPartners, de Companen, UIT Magazine Sittard, etc and work with some incredible people that helped me to lift up this project.

2) It gave me the insight into mirrorless cameras like the Sony NEX 6 which I used throughout the project. I’m now more than confident to put DSLR aside and pick up mirrorless camera for most of my photography assignments.

3) It opened up a new way how I look at things in life. There is NO giant step that does it! It takes a lot of small steps, hard work, focus and determination to get things done! As Tony Robinson once said: Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible.

4) It gave me 384 images for my portfolio, from which I can pick up the best of the best and use them for my portfolio or personal exhibition.

So what’s going to happen now?

Since this was a one year photography project, it’s over now and there is not going to be a daily photo from tomorrow any more. I will now take a short break from photography and put all my effort into creating the DVD and the book so that it’s ready before Christmas.

I’m going to change the Facebook page from Sittard 365 to Libor Bednarik Photography and post new images under my name. Mainly landscapes and architecture images, but also people and macro photography. I’m also looking into sharing photography tips and tricks which I’ve learned over the year and show you step by step how to create your own stunning images.

One more thing I wanted to say. If you are at the point of starting a new project, but you hesitate to start, let me tell you something…Just do it, it’s well worth it and you won’t regret it! Even if the project fails it doesn’t fail completely and you will most likely learn a lot of things along the way…As Tony Horton from beachbody.com says – Do the best and forget the rest!

So, have fun and thank you again for your support. I will notify you in couple of days about the progress of the DVD and the book and share some new and exciting images with you.

Autumn – Geleenbeek

Thank you everyone for yesterday comments. I decided to create 2 versions of the book, one smaller and one bigger. One is going to be 25 x 20 cm and the second 33 x 28 cm. This way you can choose the size you prefer the most. Right now I’m at 188 page and I processed 229 images. It is going to be a book with over 200 pages which is super exciting. It looks GORGEOUS already…

Yesterday I was working on the DVD and the book and I found this image in my ”not yet used” folder. I took it just couple of days after I started the project and forgot about it. There wasn’t any space for it last year. The project was new and a lot of places I could photograph in front of me. I’m happy that I found it and can share it with you now. I hope you like it…

Path To Town

I took this image yesterday when I was going to town to make some other images of the October Fest. The path looked great and it’s gonna be even better when the leaves turn into autumn colors. I guess in about three weeks this path is going to look amazing. I will come back and take a second image later but for now I wanted to share this one with you. Enjoy it…

Stadbroekermolen At Sunset

When I was there in June trying to take a picture of this place, I couldn’t get the reflection as clear, because the water was way to ruff. Yesterday I was going around so I thought to stop there and have a look.if it’s any better. It was perfect. The water was nice and calm and I liked the reflection. I took few exposures, tried different settings and came up with this shot. Hope you like it too…Please if you do, let me know.

Church In Nieuwstadt

I thought I will manage to edit some of the images from the October Fest but did not make it…Just too many and not enough time. I hope you had an exciting first day of the October Fest. I will try to post some images tomorrow or on Sunday. Instead I had this photo ready in case I couldn’t make it. Just recently I was biking through Nieuwstadt and thought about to take a picture of the church.

Geleenbeek Early In The Morning

I got up a bit earlier than usual to go and take some pictures. I went to my favorite place (Stadspark) and thought I might wait there for a sunrise. It was still dark and a bit chilly so I went for a short walk along the Geleenbeek where I took this image. I like the reflections of the water and the trees as silhouette. Amazing atmosphere with all that fog and colors of sunrise…

I hope you like this shot…Please if you do let me know.

358/365 Rainbow After The Storm

Rainbow After The Storm

Sometimes when you least expect the nature throws at you some incredible weather…I remember I was editing images for Sittard365 when I heard heavy rain. The clouds were almost black and it looked like a scene from Armageddon movie…In the distance you could see that the storm is going to pass in minutes and the Sun will come back through the clouds again. Looking at the whole thing, I knew that there is going to be rainbow soon. I grabbed my camera and waited a bit. The rainbow was incredible same as the light from the Sun as the sunset was approaching. I did a panorama to capture the whole rainbow.

I hope you like it. Please if you do, let me know…
