For the last photo, I wanted to share with you one areal image of the city that me and my friend Wouter from quadcopter-shop (www.quadcopter-shop.nl) took few weeks ago. It was a one day project where the mission was to capture the city from a unique perspective. We took some exciting images and this is one of them. If you like areal images and would like to get more information about the drones, visit www.quadcopter-shop.nl or https://www.facebook.com/quadcopter.shop
So here we are at the end of the project! All together I have shared with you 384 images and couple of videos. It has been a fantastic journey and an incredible way to connect with you, make some friends, learn, and share some of my enthusiasm about photography and life. Thank you all for being here the whole time, you have been amazing. Without your participating, it wouldn’t be possible!
Here are few things that the project gave me:
1) It gave me the opportunity to get noticed by some of the companies like BrandPartners, de Companen, UIT Magazine Sittard, etc and work with some incredible people that helped me to lift up this project.
2) It gave me the insight into mirrorless cameras like the Sony NEX 6 which I used throughout the project. I’m now more than confident to put DSLR aside and pick up mirrorless camera for most of my photography assignments.
3) It opened up a new way how I look at things in life. There is NO giant step that does it! It takes a lot of small steps, hard work, focus and determination to get things done! As Tony Robinson once said: Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible.
4) It gave me 384 images for my portfolio, from which I can pick up the best of the best and use them for my portfolio or personal exhibition.
So what’s going to happen now?
Since this was a one year photography project, it’s over now and there is not going to be a daily photo from tomorrow any more. I will now take a short break from photography and put all my effort into creating the DVD and the book so that it’s ready before Christmas.
I’m going to change the Facebook page from Sittard 365 to Libor Bednarik Photography and post new images under my name. Mainly landscapes and architecture images, but also people and macro photography. I’m also looking into sharing photography tips and tricks which I’ve learned over the year and show you step by step how to create your own stunning images.
One more thing I wanted to say. If you are at the point of starting a new project, but you hesitate to start, let me tell you something…Just do it, it’s well worth it and you won’t regret it! Even if the project fails it doesn’t fail completely and you will most likely learn a lot of things along the way…As Tony Horton from beachbody.com says – Do the best and forget the rest!
So, have fun and thank you again for your support. I will notify you in couple of days about the progress of the DVD and the book and share some new and exciting images with you.
