Church In Geleen

On my visit to Geleen I managed to take panorama of this church. It was a good fun down there. I was looking for the city center but could not find it. Anyway instead I took few images here and there. It was quite challenging as there was not much space to step away from the church. It’s a combination of 24 images that let me to cover the whole church.

I hope you like it. Please let me know what do you think.

Rijksweg Ziud At Sunset

Recently I was exploring Geleen, actually to be precise I was looking for the city center in Geleen which I had a hard time to find. It felt like I cycled all over the place instead I found what others refer to as old Geleen. Anyway, on the way there I took couple of images of the Rijksweg Zuid. To my surprise it was very peaceful which normally is quite busy road.

The colors are getting very interesting as the autumn is knocking on the door. It’s beautiful!!! I hope you like this shot. Again it’s a combination of 8 images, shot vertically and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Please me know what you think.

Sunset At Hospital

I was going to Geleen to check the center and look around for interesting stuff to photograph. On the way there I released that I was a bit late if I wanted to have a shot of a sunset. I stopped for a shot just before the hospital and caught the Sun nicely. Also took few other images that day in Geleen, but this was one that I liked a lot.

Hope you like it too.

Double Path Geleen

Today was AMAZING! No computer, no watch, no electronics, just nature, few friends, slack-lining and a bit of football in Stadspark. Absolutely amazing day! And how better you want to finish the day than with few beers and BBQ on the garden.

But anyway this image is from a recent trip to Geleen. I’ve got some really nice images that day and this is one of them. I hope you like it. It’s interesting to see one road splitting up into two, both going somewhere else creating the illusion of a choice….I really like that! Also the Sun was at the right spot…Beautiful

Cycling Path At Sunset

This shot is from few days ago. I cycled around Sittard and Geleen and just before sunset I stopped in a park in Geleen and took this image. I like the area, there are few fields, biking tracks and a pond…Kind of a place where you can spent hours and really enjoy it…Hope you like this image…I like how the Sun sits in those trees, kind of cool…

Sunset In Geleen

This is one of my favorite shot of a sunset!!! I love the clouds and the Sun reflecting of the water. Same as in Stadspark there is a beautiful pond and couple of walking tracks around the area. Really nice place to walk around sunset time. You don’t feel like being in Geleen at all…Another place where I will be hanging out more often…

I hope you like this picture, please if you let me know.

267/365 Energy Electric Power Plant

Energy Electric Power Plant

There are few great spots in Geleen which I didn’t knew existed! I was there the other day and somehow I ended up on Veeweg going to the local park. Beautiful place with a pond and fields…I got there just before sunset. The Sky was turning orange. I stopped in the middle of a little path that goes back to the city and wanted to take a shot of this energy electric power plant.

From some of my previous attempts I knew that taking multiple shots of the scene similar to this one could be incredibly challenging! Last time I tried to take a panorama of a similar thing, the cables were all over the place, just not where they supposed to be haha.

So I took a different approach. I did the vertical panorama from left to the right with a zoom lens (Sony 55-210mm)…Something I have never tried before. I took 18 shots. See down below:

007

Straight after it I looked at back at my LCD screen to double check it and I loved it. The zoom lens punched on some really nice details and gave the picture different feel than with a wide angle lens. I did swap my lens for the wide angle at the end and tried it with that. The picture end it up good, but the subject looked so tiny and far away in a distance…

Editing this image quite easy. I used the same workflow and it worked fine. I’m happy that the cables came out perfect.  Probably the biggest thing that made the difference was how I was holding the camera. I locked my elbows against my belly and when I was going from left to right I was rotating the camera rather then my whole body. Also I’ve chosen the top of the tower to be my level and I locked onto it while going from left to the right.

But anyway I like this picture a lot, I hope you do too. Please let me know if you do…

Chemelot Chimney

I happened to be there because of my other project for Sittard Geleen and I have to say it’s a great ground for learning long exposure photography. I was looking for a possible place to take some images, so that when I go there on an actual day and with a permission I have an idea from where to take a good shot. Meanwhile I took some long exposure photos from the road and thought I will share one here.

I hope you like it…

Ten Eijsden At Sunset

I think this was one of my favorite sunset here in Sittard so far…So colorful and I was on a good spot. I was coming back from Hoge Kempen National Park in Belgium and stopped on the way back at Ten Eijsden to take some nice images of the sunset…I was perfect! I took few hand held images and enjoyed the scenery until dark…Loved it!

I hope you like it…

Geleenbeek At Sunset

Just came back from a short bike trip around south Geleen, Puth, Windraak and some other villages. I then came to this place and thought that this could be a good shot. I really like the colors not only from the sunset but also the grass does looks great in my opinion.

I hope you like this image too, please if you do, let me know and give it a thumbs up.
